New Mexico Health Insurance Marketplace Opens Enrollment Period For Plan Year 2022

ALBUQUERQUE — beWellnm, the New Mexico Health Insurance Exchange, announced Saturday the beginning of the Open Enrollment Period for Plan Year 2022. 

Tens of thousands of New Mexicans are eligible to receive health insurance at little or no cost beginning Jan. 1, 2022.

The beWellnm Open Enrollment Period will last until Jan. 15, 2022 for Plan Year 2022. If New Mexicans enroll by Dec. 23, 2021, their coverage begins Jan. 1,  2022. If they enroll by Jan. 15, 2022, their coverage begins Feb. 1, 2022.

New Mexico Unemployment Rate 6.2% November 2021

New Mexico’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 6.2 percent in November, down from 6.5 percent in October and down from 8.5 percent in the previous year.

The national unemployment rate in November was 4.2 percent, down from 4.6 percent in October and down from 6.7 percent in November 2020.

Total nonagricultural payroll employment grew by 38,000 jobs, or 4.8 percent, between November 2020 and November 2021. All gains came from the private sector, which was up 39,400 jobs, or 6.4 percent.

Public Regulation Commission Receives Numerous Complaints About Propane Service In Northern New Mexico

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Public Regulation Commission (NMPRC) has received numerous complaints regarding propane gas delivery service in the last month in northern New Mexico.

Commissioner Joseph Maestas of District Three personally reached out to Attorney General Hector Balderas this week to request that the New Mexico Office of the Attorney General (NMOAG) investigate these complaints, as the PRC has little jurisdiction over delivery of propane.
