Los Alamos Commerce & Develop­ment Corporation (LACDC) is now offering business advising and work­shops under the identity of “Los Ala­mos Business Assistance Services.”

The Los Alamos Business Assistance Services program provides services to help businesses start, grow, and succeed.

Business advisement is pro­vided on a no-cost, confidential basis. Assistance areas include start-up as­sistance, business plan development and review, assistance with financing, accounting, marketing, and much more.

Los Alamos Business Assis­tance Services also offers affordable, quality workshops on a variety of business topics.

Other types of busi­ness assistance offered include fa­cilitation of economic development opportunities, business incubation services, developing and providing market information and analysis use­ful to business decision-making, ad­vocacy, referrals, and youth entrepre­neur support.

Los Alamos Commerce & Develop­ment Corporation provides a vari­ety of business assistance under the Chamber of Commerce, Los Alamos MainStreet, and Los Alamos Busi­ness Assistance Services programs.

LACDC has assisted hundreds of businesses, non-profits, and aspir­ing entrepreneurs in the Los Alamos area since instituting business assis­tance services in the mid-1980’s. The LACDC staff possesses deep experi­ence in providing these services and in connecting clients to valuable re­sources.

LACDC (known as Los Alamos Eco­nomic Development Corporation un­til 1999) established the original Busi­ness Assistance Center in Los Alamos in 1983. In 1989, the New Mexico Small Business Development Center Network was formed and LACDC and the University of New Mexico-Los Alamos (UNM-LA) have partnered to deliver services as the UNM-LA Small Business Development Center.

Under this partnership, LACDC pro­vided business counseling and work­shops funded in part by a contract with UNM-LA. The contractual rela­tionship with UNM-LA ended on De­cember 31st, 2012. So going forward, LACDC’s services will be provided under the identity Los Alamos Busi­ness Assistance Services.

Los Alamos Business Assistance Services is a program of the Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation (LACDC), a private, not-for-profit economic and community development organization serving the Los Alamos area since 1983. LACDC serves as the foundation organization for the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce, Los Alamos MainStreet, the Los Alamos Meeting & Visitors Bureau, Los Alamos Business Assistance Services and the Los Alamos Research Park.­
