Los Alamos Commerce & Development Corporation (LACDC) is now offering business advising and workshops under the identity of “Los Alamos Business Assistance Services.”
The Los Alamos Business Assistance Services program provides services to help businesses start, grow, and succeed.
Business advisement is provided on a no-cost, confidential basis. Assistance areas include start-up assistance, business plan development and review, assistance with financing, accounting, marketing, and much more.
Los Alamos Business Assistance Services also offers affordable, quality workshops on a variety of business topics.
Other types of business assistance offered include facilitation of economic development opportunities, business incubation services, developing and providing market information and analysis useful to business decision-making, advocacy, referrals, and youth entrepreneur support.

Los Alamos Commerce & Development Corporation provides a variety of business assistance under the Chamber of Commerce, Los Alamos MainStreet, and Los Alamos Business Assistance Services programs.
LACDC has assisted hundreds of businesses, non-profits, and aspiring entrepreneurs in the Los Alamos area since instituting business assistance services in the mid-1980’s. The LACDC staff possesses deep experience in providing these services and in connecting clients to valuable resources.
LACDC (known as Los Alamos Economic Development Corporation until 1999) established the original Business Assistance Center in Los Alamos in 1983. In 1989, the New Mexico Small Business Development Center Network was formed and LACDC and the University of New Mexico-Los Alamos (UNM-LA) have partnered to deliver services as the UNM-LA Small Business Development Center.
Under this partnership, LACDC provided business counseling and workshops funded in part by a contract with UNM-LA. The contractual relationship with UNM-LA ended on December 31st, 2012. So going forward, LACDC’s services will be provided under the identity Los Alamos Business Assistance Services.
Los Alamos Business Assistance Services is a program of the Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation (LACDC), a private, not-for-profit economic and community development organization serving the Los Alamos area since 1983. LACDC serves as the foundation organization for the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce, Los Alamos MainStreet, the Los Alamos Meeting & Visitors Bureau, Los Alamos Business Assistance Services and the Los Alamos Research Park.
