COMMUNITY News:

Last week, a White Rock Brownie Troop celebrated the end of a fun-filled, event-filled year of girl scouting with a swim party at Piñon Park Pool in White Rock. For a swim party, there was very little actual swimming done, as the girls were too busy having a blast splashing around, playing on pool floats, playing Marco-Polo, and going off the diving board.

Community members can give White Rock’s Piñon Park Pool a try during Free Open Swim Days 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Monday.

Swim lessons at Piñon Park Pool start at 9:30 a.m., Monday morning. Lessons run in one-week sessions and are available for pool members and non-pool members.

Piñon Park Pool memberships are available and offer flexibility with single, double, and family membership options. Memberships are valid for a year, and purchasing a membership allows use of the pool and provides voting privileges for that year, with the option to renew the membership the following and subsequent years.

Piñon Park Pool is at 104 Bryce Ave., in White Rock. For more information, see the Piñon Park Pool website at www.PinonPool.com, or call the pool at 505.672.3247.
