Brown Bag Performances are back!
The Los Alamos Arts Council’s (LAAC) free Brown Bag Performance Series presents an in-person concert featuring pianist Peter Pesic. The live concert takes place at noon Wednesday, Sept. 1 in the Pajarito Room at Fuller Lodge.
Peter Pesic is Musician-in-Residence at St. John’s College in Santa Fe. His six books, seven editions, and 60 papers consider questions in the history and philosophy of science, music and ideas. He was educated at Harvard and Stanford, where he received a doctorate in physics and then attended the Aspen Music School. Over the years, he has given many concerts at Los Alamos, including a cycle of the complete Beethoven piano sonatas.
Pesic is director of St. John’s Science Institute (which offers week-long intensive seminars on important texts in science and mathematics), and also an associate of the Department of Physics at Harvard University.
