SPORTS News:

The boys U11 Los Alamos Football Club Krypton Lasers won their spring season opener against the AYSO United EM Elements 3-1.  In the first half, the Lasers began with a sequence of crisp passes starting with Dhruv Thulasidasan across field to Liam Cunningham, over to Sammy Brown-Salazar, through to Taelin Stanfield, who then centered it to James Ito who scored a nice far-post goal.

Goalie Hayden Watkins made several key saves to keep the score 1-0 at halftime.  The EM Elements tied the score in the second half to tie the game 1-1 and would have scored more without several outstanding one-on-one saves by goalie Brendan French.

Stanfield set up the second LAFC goal by stealing the ball from the opponent and passing to Ito, who then scored on a well-placed line-drive to the far post on a give-and-go with Linnhtet Htoon. Five minutes later, Brown provided an insurance goal off a long-range shot from 30 yards that hit the back of the net.
