Boys Atomic Tumblers Compete at State Championship

The boys’ competitive team from Los Alamos School of Gymnastics competed in the 2013 New Mexico Boys State Championship in Albuquerque on March 16th and 17th.

Level 5 Senior Division

Philo Shelton earned an all-around score of 51.95, placing seventh. Shelton earned an 8.9 (8th) on floor, 9.1 (7th) on pommel horse, 8.1 (8th) on rings, 9.35 (8th) on vault, 8.8 (6th) on parallel bars, and 7.7 (8th) on high bar.

Level 5 Junior Division

Daniel Fryer earned an 8.0 (6th) on floor, 8.2 (5th) on pommel horse, 6.5 (9th) on rings, 9.25 (4th) on vault, 9.0 (4th) on parallel bars, 7.5 (6th) on high bar, and 48.45 (5th) all-around.

Level 4 Junior Division

Dane Harris earned an 8.9 (7th) on floor, 8.15 (8th) on pommel horse, 10.35 (4th) on rings, 9.6 (4th) on vault, 7.45 (9th) on parallel bars, 9.7 (2nd) on high bar, and 54.15 (8th) all-around. Harris brought home a silver medal on high bar and was the top all-around scorer for the Tumblers.

Level 4 Child Division

Caden Stilwell earned an 8.1 (24th) on floor, 7.2 (24th) on pommel horse, 7.6 (27th) on rings, 9.45 (14th) on vault, 7.6 (26th) on parallel bars, 7.1 (26th) on high bar, and 47.05 (27th) all-around, in this very large and competitive division.
