SANTA FE ― A bill to promote the New Mexico film industry sponsored by Rep. Antonio “Moe” Maestas (D-Bernalillo) has passed the House Labor and Economic Development Committee.
HB 113 would encourage film makers in and outside of New Mexico to film within the state by removing the cap on film credits.
“This bill will help unlock more good-paying jobs in the film industry, and expand opportunities in an industry that is already booming.” Rep. Antonio “Moe” Maestas said.
The film industry has put New Mexico on the map and continues to bring economic growth to the state. Democrats are working to ensuring the film industry can continue to grow and provide good-paying jobs for New Mexicans.
