Big Brothers Big Sisters Receives Piñon Award

SFCF News:

The Santa Fe Community Foundation announces the Piñon Award winners for 2015, recognizing Big Brothers Big Sisters Mountain Region as an outstanding “Tried and True” non-profit program serving the people of the community.

Each year, the Piñon Awards recognize the work of outstanding nonprofit organizations and dedicated philanthropists in our communities and showcase the importance of Santa Fe’s vital nonprofit sector.

Winners are announced in five different categories:

  • Quiet Inspiration;
  • Tried and True;
  • Courageous Innovation;
  • Visionary; and
  • Philanthropic Leadership.

The Tried and True Award category honors an organization that is known for consistent high-quality programming, despite changes in the external environment.

According to the Santa Fe Community Foundation’s website this award is perfectly suited to Big Brothers Big Sisters, who “for 35 years… has provided thousands of children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported 1-to-1 mentoring relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.”

Winners in all categories include:
