This black bear visited a Los Alamos residence around 7:50 p.m. Sunday. Apparently bears like suet. It tore apart the suet feeder and then moved on to a nyjer-seed feeder and a bird house. The bird house is six feet above the ground; obviously this bear can reach that high. So people should keep their bird feeders at least 6.5 feet above the ground. Photo by Ken Hanson
