The Bathtub Row Brewing Co-op Board of Directors has taken over the Bathtub Row taproom this evening in Central Park Square, in place of the usual friendly faces Los Alamos is used to seeing behind the bar.
For those who have visited “the Tub”, one of those familiar faces is that of Rose Evans. Evans has worked at Bathtub Row since its opening in May of 2015. Not only is she an employee of the brewery and Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation, but Evans also serves the community as the reigning Mrs. Northern New Mexico United States.
While representing Northern New Mexico through New Mexico United States Pageantry, Evans has earned several accolades, including placing Top 5 (2015), 1st Runner Up (2016), and receiving the award for being the contestant who gave the most back to her charity of choice, sponsors, and community the past two years running. This season, Evans is giving it another run, in hopes of obtaining the coveted title of Mrs. New Mexico 2017.
Through her title, Evans has contributed 100s of volunteer hours to her charity of choice, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern New Mexico. She has recently taken her passion for this organization a step further, by joining its board of directors.
Now, in the true cooperative spirit, the Bathtub Row Board of Directors wants to do its part to give back to one of their own. Preparing for a pageant can be costly. Therefore, during their shift tonight the board has agreed to donate their tip proceeds in sponsorship of Evans. It is their hope that this sponsorship will help her fulfill her goal of gracing the stage at the Mrs. New Mexico United States Pageant in March.
Have a question, concern, or comment for the Bathtub Row Brewing Board of Directors? Want to help Mrs. Northern New Mexico at the same time? The board members will be behind the bar at the brewery tonight from 4 p.m. to closing. They are looking forward to hearing the community’s feedback and raising some money for a cause at the same time! The talented Poncho Deluxe also is serving up soulful rock tunes this evening. Come out, meet the board members, and enjoy a cold one for Mrs. Northern New Mexico United States at the local brewing cooperative!
