ACCT / ACCT II is an after-school fine arts program offered by the Los Alamos Public Schools to encourage academic excellence in elementary and middle-school students through direct involvement in live musical theater. ACCT is now it its 6th season and its productions have included Junior versions of Disney’s Willy Wonka, Beauty & the Beast, Mulan, The Little Mermaid, and ACCT II The Jungle Book KIDS.

Currently, there are two ACCT shows in production. Later this month, a diverse cast of 4th – 11th grade students will perform selections from Disney Mulan, Jr. in Atlanta, Georgia, at the annual Junior Theater Festival (JTF). Last year at the Festival, the 2013 JTF cast was awarded a trophy for “Excellence in Ensemble Work.” Additionally, an all middle-school cast is now rehearsing for Disney Aladdin, Jr., which opens Feb. 21 at Duane Smith Auditorium.
