Auditions for ‘Arsenic and Old Lace’ Coming Up

Arsenic and Old Lace opened the 1944-1945 theater season in Los Alamos. Today, 69 years later, as Los Alamos Little Theatre celebrates its 70th season, they are bringing back this hilarious classic full of surprises. 

Los Alamos Little Theatre will hold auditions for Arsenic and Old Lace 7-9 p.m. Sunday, July 7 and  7-9 p.m. Monday, July 8 at the Performing Arts Center, 1670 Nectar in Los Alamos. Scripts are available at Mesa Public Library for a 24-hour perusal period.

There are 14 parts for 14 cast members. Everyone is welcome to come and try out. Come by the tryouts or call the producers to volunteer in other aspects of the production.

The play, written by Joseph Kesselring, will be performed in September under the direction of TJ Severinghaus. Jim Sicilian and Gracie Cainelli are the producers. They can be reached at 662-9352.
