Atomic City Children’s Theater Holds Parent/Student Meeting For 2017 Junior Theater Festival West Field Trip

Atomic City Children’s Theater, the Los Alamos Public Schools’ award winning after-school theater program, is excited to announce that they will be holding an exploratory meeting to gauge interest in attending the Junior Theater Festival West with Atomic City Children’s Theater (JTF-W with ACCT ) field trip to Sacramento, California, February 10-12, 2017.
 
The JTF-W with ACCT field trip meeting will be held from 5 – 6 p.m., Monday, March 14 in the Mountain Elementary Music Room.
 
The JTF-W with ACCT field trip is open to all Los Alamos or White Rock students between the ages of 8-18 who are interested in learning more about musical theater by attending the JTF-W.
 
At the JTF-W with ACCT meeting, we will discuss trip cost, rehearsal schedule, and show presentation options.
 
JTF-W field trip activities begin with an adjudicated performance on Saturday morning in front of leading musical theater professionals. Afterwards, students receive positive feedback about their performance.
 
Other JTF-W activities planned are Workshops for Students and Teachers, JTF All-Stars, Choreography DVD Auditions, New Works Showcase, Pathways to Success, The Broadway JR. Slam, Direct From Broadway, Freddie G Awards Ceremony, and lots of fun, Fun, FUN!
 
We also will have special ACCT sightseeing and other activities for the students.
 
ACCT is led by Co-Directors, Daren Savage and Kelsey Cline. ACCT offers performing opportunities to Los Alamos area students and is designed to promote academic excellence through direct participation in live performances on stage.
