ACCT News:

Atomic City Children’s Theater (ACCT), the Los Alamos Public Schools’ award winning after-school theater program, is excited to announce auditions for their Mid-School production of Disney Aladdin, Jr., a two-act musical play based on the full-length movie of the same name.

Auditions will be held in the Mountain Elementary gym 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16. The auditions are open to any 7th or 8th grade students in the Los Alamos area. Registration begins at noon.

ACCT also offers students the chance to explore other areas of technical theater, such as working lights and sound, helping with costumes, and working back stage during the shows. Students interested in these areas are also invited to the audition to register and to meet the directors.

Co-Directors, Daren Savage and Kelsey Cline, are proud to lead the ACCT after-school theater program into its sixth year.

Two public performances of Disney Aladdin, Jr. by the mid-school cast are scheduled for Feb. 21-22, 2014, at Duane W. Smith Auditorium.

ACCT offers performing opportunities to elementary and middle school age students and is designed to promote academic excellence through participation in the arts.
