Art On Tap: New Mexico Film Industry Talk Nov. 5

The film industry in New Mexico is booming with projects like Independence Day 2, Longmire, Manhattan, and Better Call Saul.
 
Don’t miss Art On Tap this week featuring Carole and John Altendorf of Creative Juices Productions in Albuquerque who will discuss the New Mexico film industry.
 
Art On Tap is 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5 at UnQuarked the Wine Room, 145 Central Park Square in downtown Los Alamos. All ages are welcome!
 
Carole and John are the owners of the production company Creative Juices Productions in Albuquerque and are producers, directors, editors, writers, casting directors, set designers, and mentors for video, filmmaking, and photography.
 
In California, John directed celebrities including Steve Martin, Dustin Hoffman, and Donald Sutherland. Carole is a Professional Photographers of America award winning portrait photographer. 
 
Carole photographs hundreds of New Mexico’s talented actors. She is also an actor, film producer and casting director. She has appeared in Better Call Saul, Night Shift, The Messengers, Invisible Man, Captain Fantastic and Tinfoil Shadows. 
 
Come for an enthralling discussion about the ins and outs of New Mexico film. Learn what is takes to be a film actor, writer, director, and much more. 
 
Sponsored by the Los Alamos Creative District and hosted by the Fuller Lodge Art Center, this series begins each evening with an informal 10-15 minute lecture followed by a lively group discussion.
 
“On Tap” is a way for people to get out and about in the community, learn something new, and meet people with similar interests. The “On Tap” series happens twice a month.
 
The discussions are supported by Bradbury Science Museum, Fuller Lodge Art Center, Los Alamos Historical Society and PEEC at The Nature Center.
