Annual ‘Metro Public Safety Day’ May 11

DVS News:
ALBUQUERQUE Federal, state, and local public safety and law enforcement agencies–along with military service branches–will have personnel and equipment on display for 2019 Metro Public Safety and Armed Services Day 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., May 11 at the Cottonwood Mall in Albuquerque, at 10000 Coors Bypass NW in the city’s west side.
Dozens of law enforcement and military vehicles, helicopters, boats, and other equipment will be available to climb aboard for a “hands on” look. Lots of “bounce houses,” food trucks, vendors, and many more activities and displays will also be there to add to the fun and enjoyment for the whole family.
This free family-friendly event is presented by the New Mexico Department of Veterans Services (DVS) and the Cottonwood Mall to provide an opportunity for the public to meet law enforcement and military personnel, and learn how they serve and protect the citizens of New Mexico.
In addition, many of the participating agencies will be recruiting for jobs in public safety.
