AMF News:

ALBUQUERQUE — Albuquerque Museum Foundation (AMF) presents ArtsThrive: An Exhibition and Benefit.

This juried exhibition serves as an annual fundraiser to help fund vital educational and exhibition programs, as well as acquisitions at the Albuquerque Museum. Traditionally held in the Fall, ArtsThrive has moved to the Spring and will take place March 5-April 16.

Artwork that is selected to take part in the exhibition is for sale to the public for the duration of the show, with 60 percent of art sales going back to the artist.

ArtsThrive kicks off with the Collectors’ Premiere 6-9 p.m. Thursday, March 2 and provides an exclusive first look and opportunity to purchase over 300 works of art. Held at the Albuquerque Museum, there will also be the opportunity to watch four artists create a work of art from start to finish in just two hours. These pieces will be available for purchase at the end of the evening. The artists participating will be Monique Belitz, Peggy Immel, Joe A. Oakes, and Robert Wilson.

The ArtsThrive Gala will take place 6-10 p.m. Saturday, March 4 at the Museum. The event provides the opportunity to meet the artists and view and purchase more than 300 works of art before the exhibition opens to the general public.

The ArtsThrive exhibition will be on view to the public during regular Museum hours ( 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday – Sunday) March 5 – April 16. General admission is $3-$6.

Artwork may also be viewed and purchased online through the foundation website. Details at this link.

“ArtsThrive is an exciting collaboration between artists and others from our community. The exhibition provides an opportunity for budding art collectors, those expanding their already extensive collections, and people who are simply enthusiastic about and enjoy art to converge on common ground,” said Tiffany Sanchez, Albuquerque Museum Foundation board member and ArtsThrive committee chair. “The intersection of these groups fosters a dynamic experience that enriches everything the Albuquerque Museum has to offer by way of education and programming. ArtsThrive is a perfect forum to celebrate and extend the artistic and historical experiences the museum is known to foster, and I look forward to this year’s exhibition continuing this tradition.”

ArtsThrive concludes with an “Off the Wall” event Sunday, April 16. This final day of the exhibition offers the opportunity for attendees to buy any artwork still available and literally take it off the wall to take home.

Tickets to the Collectors’ Premiere and Gala are on sale and available online.
