Ken Beesley and his wife Janette opened Accu Copy in 1990 in Española with the vision of serving their customers throughout Northern New Mexcio with “prompt, uncompromising personal service. Accu Copy is in the business of making high volume copies, both color, black and white, engineering reproductions, large format, color format, basic design work and finishing services. No matter the size of the job or the complexity, this homegrown business has shown customers small and large throughout the state that they are the print shop to be trusted.

“We believe that satisfied and returning customers is the way to build a business,” Ken said.

Accu Copy at 635 N. Riverside Drive, next to Wells Fargo Bank, is in the business of making the lives of their customers better, he said, adding that today, Accu Copy is viewed as a leader of copy work in northern New Mexico, with government and offices relying on it for high volume work, engineering and architectural drawings.

“We are constantly upgrading software, computers, machines and networking to serve you better. Our pledge is to give you the best and most cost effective customer service in northern New Mexico,” Ken said.

The Accu Copy storefront has moved three times since it was originally opened and is now in a large 3,000 square foot space right on Riverside Drive in the middle of town.

It isn’t just businesses that have come to rely on Accu Copy. Many parents of newborn babies have printed their announcements in this Española shop. And high school and college graduates from throughout Northern New Mexico visit with the Beesleys to design and print graduation announcements. Accu Copy’s ability to provide quick service and work directly with their customers to make sure they get exactly what they want is a major advantage over using the online print services or chain copy stores. Customers get to touch and feel the sample proofs before they actually go to print.

There is nothing like knowing that the final product is exactly what you want. It’s an advantage that the out of town and online businesses cannot match, he said. Not to mention, the prices are very competitive and this season Accu Copy is offering a special promotion where all local residents who print their graduates announcements with Accu Copy will receive a 2’x4’ color banner, designed just for them and valued at $50, when they buy the “Grad-Pack” package customized to their student.

Graduations are just a little over a month away so this is an opportunity for Accu Copy to share their quality services with newly minted high school and college grads. It’s also an opportunity for families of the graduates to take advantage of this special promotion.

Ken has another passion, beyond his business. He is an artist who paints a variety of scenes from around northern New Mexico. Several samples of his work are on display in the store. For those visitors who love the art, he has reproduced some of his more popular paintings as high-quality prints and they are for sale.
