The Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation will host a beer and wine tasting event, A Taste of Knowledge, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, March 4 at the Bradbury Science Museum.
Participants will sample a wide variety of specially selected beers and wines, choosing eight tastes from among 12 offerings. An array of delicious appetizers will accompany the beverages.
All proceeds benefit the Great Ideas Grants available to school district classroom teachers each fall and spring from the LAPS Foundation.
“The hope is that our community will come out to support our teachers at this unique event,” LAPSF Executive Director Joanna Gillespie said. “Those who dedicate themselves to educating the children of community are so deserving of the classroom grants we fund through our generous donors.”
A complete list of Great Ideas Grants funded since 2008 can be found at http://lapsfoundation.com/projects/teacher_grants.shtml.
