LAS VEGAS — The Achieving in Research Math and Science (ARMAS) Center at New Mexico Highlands University (NMHU) invites the community to the 67th Annual Northeastern New Mexico Regional Science & Engineering Fair Saturday, March 22 at the NMHU Student Union Building (8th & National, Las Vegas, NM).
This prestigious event serves as a gateway to the Regeneron International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF), the world’s largest international pre-college science competition. The region’s top senior division winners will earn the opportunity to showcase their research on a global stage, representing Northeastern New Mexico among the best young scientists in the world.
The public is encouraged to attend the Public Viewing Session noon to 3 p.m. to explore groundbreaking student research across multiple STEM fields. The fair not only highlights student innovation but also promotes Las Vegas as a destination for academic tourism, attracting participants, educators, and visitors to engage with the city’s rich intellectual and cultural environment.
Volunteer Opportunities
- The fair is seeking volunteers to help make this inspiring event a success.
Roles include:
- Judges – No prior experience required; all backgrounds are encouraged to participate.
- Ushers & Registration Assistants – Help welcome and direct participants and visitors.
- Event Setup & Cleanup Crew – Assist with venue preparation and breakdown.
- Award Ceremony Support & Activity Organizers – Ensure a seamless experience for attendees.
