The New Mexico Community Foundation has changed its name to New Mexico Foundation, which better defines its purpose and identity as the only community foundation serving the state of New Mexico.
New Mexico Foundation’s new building is more centrally located at 8 Calle Medico in Santa Fe. The larger building has space available for nonprofit community gatherings, workshops and meetings.
To celebrate the new location and name, the public is invited to an open house 4-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 to meet board and staff and tour the new facilities. An invitation with more details and a request for RSVPs will be sent later.
Grant making priorities continue to focus on community resilience, healthy communities, educational opportunities, rural infrastructure and environmental adaptability.
New Mexico Foundation’s mission is to steward resources, build partnerships, and create opportunities that transform lives and communities throughout New Mexico. Established in 1983, New Mexico Foundation manages $24 million in assets and more than 90 charitable funds for donors throughout the state. Last year, the foundation granted $1.9 million to New Mexico nonprofits.
