The Los Alamos Heart Council, in partnership with Los Alamos Medical Center, is pleased to announce that the 32nd Annual Los Alamos Health Fair will be 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Sept. 23, in Griffith Gymnasium at Los Alamos High School.
Applications for organizations and medical providers wishing to exhibit at this year’s Fair will be available the first week of August. If you have previously exhibited or expressed an interest, you will receive the application by email. The application form also will be posted on the LA Heart Council website at losalamosheartcouncil.org.
Unfortunately, due to a change in funding priorities, United Way of Northern New Mexico is no longer providing support for the Health Fair. Accordingly, as there has only been a short period to replace that funding for this year, we anticipate a surcharge to defray Fair expenses for this year only, of $25 for each booth, making the charge $125 for larger booths and $100 for smaller booths.
The Heart Council will work to replace the United Way of NNM funding and regret the likely necessity of charging more for this year’s fair. We hope this does not prevent any group or individual from participating. We look forward to seeing you all at this year’s Los Alamos Health Fair.
