2016 Northeastern New Mexico Science And Engineering Fair Winners

The Northeastern New Mexico Regional Science & Engineering Fair was held at the beginning of the month at New Mexico Highlands University.
 
Los Alamos sent 69 projects and 74 students to the regional competition. Of the 69 projects presented by Los Alamos students, 35 received awards. 
 
The Los Alamos High School team project of Sophia Li and Jovan Zhang qualified for the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair May 9-12 in Phoenix. 
 
LAHS also garnered an International alternate spot. This year team Priyanka Velappan and Alex Ionkov won 2nd alternate to the Intel International Fair.
 
All Los Alamos students who received first and second place awards will progress on to the New Mexico State Science and Engineering Fair April 1-2 at New Mexico Tech in Socorro.
