Anglers, farmers and television weather forecasters have added a new word to their vocabulary. “Nonsoon” is being used to describe this year’s disappointing monsoon season.

The glorious weather and the exceptional organizational skills of Nicola Winch and David Rutherford made this year’s 6th Annual Joel Williams Memorial Tennis Tournament a resounding success! A lot of great tennis was played with 40 individuals playing a total of 67 matches over a long weekend! Los Alamos High School (LAHS) kicked off the fall sports season on the new Sullivan Field turf this morning with a varsity boys soccer game against Santa Fe Prep.

The first varsity football game is 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25 vs. Taos High School.

Tickets for all home events are $8 for adults and $5 for students and seniors (age 65 and older).
