BLM: June 2024 Oil And Gas Lease Sale In NM & Kansas

SANTA FE — The Bureau of Land Management New Mexico State Office Monday announced an oil and gas lease sale scheduled for June 13, 2024, to offer 19 oil and gas parcels totaling 3,128 acres in New Mexico and Kansas.
The BLM completed scoping on these parcels in September 2023 and held a public comment period that closed in December 2023 on the parcels, potential deferrals, and the related environmental analysis. SANTA FE — The New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) has petitioned the Environmental Improvement Board (EIB) to update the fees and fee structure for air quality permits last updated nearly 20 years ago.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, New Mexico’s economy is the 13th fastest growing in the nation with agriculture, construction, and mining among its fastest growing sectors.
