Community Services Hosts Golf Shop Holiday Sale Dec. 10

COUNTY News:

The Community Services Department has announced that the Golf Shop at the Los Alamos County Golf Course will be hosting its Annual Holiday Sale 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10.

Finger foods and holiday refreshments will be provided, and each shopper will be given a balloon to pop to get their discount amount. They will then be eligible to putt for a chance to increase their savings. Discounts will range from 5 to 25 percent.

EMNRD Issues Enforcement Action With DCP Operating Company For Unauthorized Release, Reporting Violations

EMNRD News:

SANTA FE — The Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department (EMNRD) issued a notice of violation (NOV) to DCP Operating Company, LP (DCP) for an unauthorized release, failure to comply with initial response requirements, failure to notify the Oil Conservation Division within 24 hours of discovery of a major release and for failure to file a complete and accurate remediation plan (Form C-141) within 15 days.

DCP has been assessed a civil penalty of $66,800 and ordered to take actions to prevent the violations from occurring again.

SOCORRO — Sharing her expertise to better prepare state and local governments for cyberattacks, New Mexico Tech’s Dr. Lorie Liebrock recently was named to two key committees at the state and federal level.

Dr. Liebrock is a computer science and engineering professor and director of the New Mexico Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NMCCoE).
