NMPED COVID-19 Update: 39 Staff; 13 Students Test Positive In New Mexico Public Schools In Last 24 Hours

SANTA FE — The Public Education Department announced this afternoon 52 new positive cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
Rapid response has been initiated, and all pertinent information has been verified with the schools and school districts.
The following new cases have been reported:
- Four cases in Bernalillo County. Three of the infected individuals are staff members who were last on school property Oct. 14, 21, and 23. The other infected individual is a student who was last on campus Sept. 15.

SANTA FE – Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham ordered state flags to half-staff this afternoon for a week of mourning in recognition of the state of New Mexico recording 1,000 COVID-19 fatalities.
The state Department of Health today reported 13 additional COVID-19 fatalities, the most deaths reported in the state in a single day of the pandemic, bringing the state’s total to 1,007.

Southwestern New Mexico Business Finance Fair Connects Businesses To Funding Resources

SANTA FE — In an effort to assist businesses in obtaining the financial resources they need, and to help lenders find projects they wish to finance, the New Mexico Economic Development Department (EDD) is hosting another finance fair – completely online – but geared toward businesses and lenders located in Southwestern New Mexico, EDD Cabinet Secretary Alicia J. Keyes announced Thursday.

SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials have announced this afternoon 1,082 additional positive tests for COVID-19.
Los Alamos County has 1 new case today bringing the total to 48 cases that have tested positive for COVID-19.
Today’s update includes 3 new deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.
