NMDOT: Virtual Car Seat Inspections Are Available

NMDOT News:

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Department of Transportation Traffic Safety Division (NMDOT TSD) and Safer New Mexico Now are hosting virtual car seat checks through Zoom.

Nationally certified child passenger safety technicians provide parents and caregivers with one-on-one instruction on the proper selection, installation and use of their car seats. 

The virtual sessions are by appointment only and occur 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. every first and third Wednesday of the month.

Over the last few days, I have been reading many comments on various Facebook pages about coyotes in our community. I feel like there are some misconceptions about the wildlife in Los Alamos that need to be addressed.

Traffic Alert: Intermittent Closures On Canyon Road

Traffic Alert:

Los Alamos County announces that intermittent road closures on Canyon Road east of the Central Avenue intersection will be occurring 7 am to 4 pm. Feb. 3 through Feb. 12.

This location is adjacent to the United Church property. Closures will not block any property entrances.

The closures are to allow work on relocating a gas line in preparation for the start of the Kiddie/Multigenerational Pool Project.
