Canyon Rim Trail Underpass Construction Begins March 29
COUNTY News:
Beginning Monday March 29, crews with AUI, Inc. of Albuquerque will begin work to construct the Canyon Rim Trail Underpass.
The project includes extension of the 10-ft. wide hard surface trail connecting the terminus of the
Canyon Rim Trail and existing trailhead to Entrada Drive beneath N.M. 502 via a reinforced concrete box structure.
Due to the amount of construction activity that includes trenching, excavation and utility relocation near the trailhead, the trailhead parking lot and a 100-ft. section of the trail near the trailhead will be closed for safety.

New Mexico COVID-19 Update: 176 New Cases, Total 189,731 With Zero Deaths And 172,441 Patients Recovered
STATE News:
SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials today announced 176 new COVID-19 cases. Los Alamos County reports zero new cases today so the total remains at 494 people who have tested positive for COVID-19. (County totals are subject to change upon further investigation and determination of residency of individuals positive for COVID-19.)
Today’s update also includes zero new deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.
The New Mexico Department of Health reports today’s most recent cases:
- 56 new cases in Bernalillo County
- 1 new case in Catron County
- 2 new cases in Chaves County
