Road Construction Update: Week of May 28

Orange cones will be sprouting up next week around Canyon Road, Central Avenue and 15th Street in the downtown area.

Public Works Projects:

Eastern Area 2 Concrete, Paving & Utility Project – Phase 1

Starting Tuesday, Canyon Rd between East Road (NM502) and the Myrtle Green will be closed to through traffic. Residential access to this area will be maintained; however, residents who park on Canyon Road are asked to park off-street or on nearby side streets.

The Red Elvises are coming! The Red Elvises are coming! This is going to be one of the absolute best concerts we’ve ever had in Los Alamos and it’s free.
 
How do you say in English, “These cats are a gas!?" 
 
C’mon out Friday, May 25 to Ashley Pond. The show starts at 7 p.m. and goes till 10 p.m.
 
The original members of the Band came out of Moscow, Russia as a folk and folk-rock band.
 
The band moved to Santa Monica,Calif.

Council Candidates Forum 6 p.m. Thursday

A County Council Candidates Forum is set for 6 p.m., Thursday at the Los Alamos Research Park, 2nd floor conference room, 4200 West Jemez Road.

The Forum is sponsored by the Los Alamos Monitor and the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce.

Meet the County Council candidates. The focus will be on business and economic issues.

The event is free and the public is welcome.
