Police Seek Information About Two Female Suspects
The Los Alamos Police Department is seeking information on two females be sought
in a shoplifting incident that occurred Thursday at Bealls at 610 Trinity Dr.
The Los Alamos Police Department Investigations Section was assigned the shoplifting case that turned dangerous when a pedestrian was struck by a fleeing suspect vehicle.
Los Alamos Police Sgt. Daniel Roberts and Cpl. Ben Hinrichs were the first to arrive and begin the investigation. After all preliminary reports and evidence were collected, it was determined that two female suspects had left the scene and Los Alamos County in a silver 4-door Volvo that had sustained a smashed windshield. The case was then assigned to Det. Joseph Robinson.
Det. Robinson has identified one of the two female suspects as 23-year-old Ashley A. Garcia of Hernandez and has obtained a statewide arrest warrant for the following charges:
- Shoplifting (4th Degree Felony);
- Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon (3rd Degree Felony); and
- Duty to Give Information and Render Aid (Misdemeanor).
LAPD is offering a reward of up to $100 to anyone who has information on the identity of the 2nd female suspect. LAPD also is offering a reward of $50 to anyone who knows the where-a-bouts of Ashley Garcia. Anyone with information can call L.A. crime stoppers at 505.662.8282.
