PEEC News:

Artist and instructor Lisa Coddington is returning to teach a one-day workshop on painting using botanical and natural subjects Aug. 31 at the Los Alamos Nature Center on Canyon Road.

This class, made possible by Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC), is great for all skill levels. The workshop is 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31. Register to learn techniques for creating realistic, still life, and nature-inspired art.

Participants will explore watercolor techniques that portray plants and animals. With easy to understand demonstrations and master artist examples, Lisa will work to reinforce confidence in creating dimensional, summer-themed subjects. Her next class, focused on drawing plants and animals, will take place on Sept. 7.

Lisa Coddington earned her Master of Art in Illustration at Syracuse University. She has illustrated a children's book and has received commissions by regional and national firms for her artwork and art instruction.
