on January 7, 2018 - 2:24pm
American Legion National Cmdr. Denise Rohan and her husband Mike Rohan, New Mexico American Legion Cmdr. Evone Harrison and various department representatives visited Los Alamos Friday as part of the national commander’s tour of the United States. Cmdr. Rohan and Cmdr. Harrison are the first women ever elected to their respective positions in the American Legion. During her visit to Los Alamos, Cmdr. Rohan and her contingent toured areas of Los Alamos National Laboratory. She is only the second national commander to do so. The group returned to American Legion Post 90 on Trinity Drive for a ‘meet and greet’ followed by a barbeque dinner prepared by Aramark Chef Desiree Byrd. After dinner, Cmdr. Rohan spoke about American Legion programs and the many reasons for members to ‘keep serving’ in the local community. Photo by Leland Lehman/ladailypost.com
