MEOW WOLF News:

SANTA FE  Meow Wolf continues the tradition of maximalist Halloween celebration with Freak or Treat: a multi-tentacled series for guests to experience all together or à la carte.

Freak or Treat will have five nights of performances, a first-ever “Trick or Treat” inside the exhibition and three nights of music designed to appeal to your inner dance monster.

Live Halloween Performances:
  • 6-8 p.m. Oct. 26, 27, 28, 29 & 30
  • Free with the cost of admission
If you liked last year’s House of Halloween you’ll want to return for Freak or Treat. The chaotic, experiential theater was so well-received in 2016 that Meow Wolf decided to reanimate it with new performers, new characters and a new storyline featuring favorite themes not from horror but sci-fi and strange fiction.

During the live show, guests are free to interact with performers who will tell you a Halloween story that only Meow Wolf can execute, centered around two friends who travel to House of Eternal Return on their way to a Halloween party. The arrival of these characters places a strain on space/time that is explored through simple, different vignettes for each performer.

The performance is appropriate for all ages but your kids may be slightly more imaginative by the end of the night.

Last year’s performances were separate ticketed events but this year the Meow Wolf Halloween story is free with the cost of admission. You can spend the entire day at the Meow Wolf Art Complex and come back when things boil over around 6 p.m. Guests get the most out of the show through exploration so annual pass holders are in a unique position to experience the freakery and treatery again and again.

Trick Or Treat

All Day, Oct. 31

Youth tickets only: $14, $12 for New Mexico residents. Up to two (2) adults may accompany a child forfree.

Want to go trick or treating in the strangest neighborhood imaginable? Meow Wolf is hosting Trick or Treat inside House of Eternal Return. Kids ages 12 and under can knock on doors throughout the exhibition and meet costumed characters who will richly reward them with treats.

To keep things focused on the kids, Meow Wolf will only offer youth tickets on Halloween and admit 100 tickets each hour. Youth must be accompanied by an adult.

Live Music and Parties

The Meow Wolf concert venue, recently named one of the top ten in the country, is outdoing itself with nightly parties leading up to the big day. The collective wants to encourage people to costume as hard as possible and will offer $500 cash prizes for the best.

Cash is killer but trophies are forever. The best costume at each of the Halloween parties also receives a trophy.
