Meet Newly Sworn Los Alamos Police Officers

Two new Los Alamos Police Officers, David Randleman and Michael Weiss were sworn by Magistrate Judge Pat Casados Thursday. They were joined in the courtroom by their families, several LAPD officers and other county staff.

Randleman is a graduate of Aztec High School and San Juan Community College. He is a sergeant in the New Mexico National Guard where he serves as a medic. He was deployed to Egypt with the peacekeeping forces in 2012 and also served some time as a line medic for the military police.

Weiss, who is originally from Chicago, spent six years in Deming with the U.S. Border Patrol followed by two years with the Santa Fe Sheriff’s Department.
