Tickets are $2 for adults and $1for children under 12. The Jemez Mountain Bear Paw quilters are joining in hosting this event.

The Quilt Show alternates each September with the Quilt Market. Brenda Edeskuty is the Quiltinista (chair) for this year’s Show. Come and see handmade quilts of all types including wall hangings, table runners, bed quilts of various sizes and holiday decorations.  In addition, there will be wearable art, art quilts, hand-knit items, jewelry and other hand-crafted items.

There will be a full slate of vendors including Atomic City Quilts from Los Alamos, Santa Fe Quilting, Bob’s Sewing and Vacuum, Ryan’s Sewing and Vacuum, Sewing Center of Santa Fe, Thread Bear from Las Vegas, Jemez Bear Paw Quilt Guild, Jeanne Robinson, LAP Cluster Material Girls, and Nicole Dunn/Micki Taylor.

There will also be a Silent Auction with handmade items for sale at the show. Winners will be announced at 3 p.m. Saturday.

The Donation Quilt this year is titled “Spinning Stars” and was made by more than 20 LAP members learning how to paper piece the blocks during a workshop and then the blocks were worked on individually. It was assembled by Donna Smith and quilted by Nicole Dunn. Tickets will be available at the show. The winning ticket will be drawn at 3p.m. Saturday.

This year, the door prizes donated by the vendors will be packaged together. All members and entrants to the show will be eligible to win the vendor prizes via a drawing by visiting all vendors at the show.

The Los Alamos Piecemakers Quilt Guild is active in the community doing service projects throughout the year. The LA Piecemakers meet the fourth Tuesday of each month. Visitors and guests are welcome. For more information, visit los alamos.com/lap/.
