SPORTS News:

Monday, the Los Alamos Golf team played host to the Los Alamos Spring Invitational at the Los Alamos County Golf Course.

There were 11 schools represented and 83 golfers.  The boy’s team finished third with a score of 305 behind Hope Christen and St. Michael’s. The boys picked up the fourth leg at this tournament which qualified the team to go to state.

On the girls’ side, they had only three players as one player was at a track meet, so the girls played as individuals because four players are needed to make a team. On the bright side, Jessica Osden shot a 77, which was the best score for the women and was awarded a medal. Both teams will be represented at the state meet to be played May 8-9 at the Canyon Club in Albuquerque.
