FBI News:

An armed man robbed a northeast Albuquerque bank Tuesday, March 7, and fled in a white Dodge Durango SUV after switching getaway vehicles.

The suspect is described as a bald, stocky Hispanic male in his 30s and approximately 6' tall. He wore a black bandana over his face, a black baseball cap, a blue T-shirt with a white long-sleeve shirt underneath and black jeans.

The suspect entered BBVA Compass Bank, 1201 San Pedro Dr., NE, at approximately 11:24 a.m. Tuesday. Witnesses said he displayed a silver or gray handgun and demanded money from a teller.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect, who left the bank and drove away in an older model, white four-door sedan. The suspect abandoned the vehicle at Alvarado Drive NE and Alice Avenue NE, about a half-mile away. He then got into a white Dodge Durango SUV, model years 2004—2009, driven by a Hispanic woman. The SUV had a possible temporary tag in the back window.
