LAHS Choirs Preview Concert Smith Auditorium Tuesday

The best way to be successful is practice, practice, practice and Los Alamos High School Choir Director Jason Rutledge and his bevy of beautiful voices will perform for the community Tuesday, March 1, as they prepare for additional great things ahead.

“This concert is our preview concert for our Music Performance Assessment that occurs the following day,” Rutledge said. “It will involve the Los Alamos Middle School Choir and four choirs from Los Alamos High School; Man Time, Harmony, Bel Canto and Schola Cantorum.”

Joshua Grimes, a 2002 Los Alamos High School graduate, achieved a career highlight few others share – he showcased his culinary skills on a national television program.

JEMEZ SPRINGS — The Jemez Springs Public Library in Jemez Springs, New Mexico will give fans of the late author Tony Hillerman a rare opportunity to purchase everything from unedited manuscripts to signed books and first editions at a special book sale Saturday, Feb. 27, which coincides with the village’s Cabin Fever Festival.

At least 30 published and unpublished works written between 1970 and 1990 will be sold at the sale – all of which were donated from Hillerman’s daughter, author Anne Hillerman.
